Hello, a bit about me:

I graduated with my doctorate in communication in May 2014.  Upon graduation, I continued my professional role in advertising. I currently work for a large digital advertising company as an account analyst.  In my current role, I analyze consumer insights and “big data” to craft a messaging strategy that allows international brands to speak to their target customers online in a 1:1, personalized manner.  I work together with other members of our internal team, which consists of account managers, account planners, client development, and media managers to fulfill our clients' digital advertising needs.  I am responsible for measuring performance, developing strategy, and meeting with a client's marketing executives and analytics teams.

In addition to my client work, I have presented over 30 research projects to a variety of national and international associations and have 16 articles published in peer-reviewed journals.  While at the University of Alabama, I also served as the marketing director for the Office of Student Media, which required me to manage a staff responsible for marketing and promoting the university’s student media outlets. In this position, I also managed an internship program consisting of five undergraduate students, allowing me to teach them strategic campaigns in a real-world setting.  While at Alabama, I also taught both an advertising design class and Mass Communication Research Methods.

If you would like to learn more about my background, including my research, teaching, and experience, please feel free to look around my website.
